On Thursday I was on my way home from the hairdresser when I met up with a steaming pile of wet leaves on a curvy country rode. We duked it out but the leaves won. The results are "painfully" obvious. I said a prayer of thanks to God that my only injuries were broken ribs. I think I had an angel riding on my shoulder. Right now I really don't feel like driving again any time soon, but my granddaughter, Taylor, said that when you fall off a horse you get right back on. It's a moot question right now as I am sort of down for the count for a week or so until the ding blasted ribs heal.
On a lighter note, coming soon will be a video of Taylor winning awards in a horse riding competition. Yay, Taylor!

We here in the Eaton Gammell-Barone home are all saying prayers of thanks that you are ok. All of the children have made get well cards for you and we will be mailing them out to you on Monday. We love you so very much and are sending that love to help heal your boo boos quickly. xoxoxox By the way.. You will drive again.... I've never known you to allow anything to stop you from doing what you want to do. xoxoxoxoxo We love you!!!!! Meg, David, Hannah, Chloe, Chyanne, Dominik and Emily. Hugs and kisses and warm thoughts from all of us. xoxoxoox
I've gotta say, the one thing I've hated from the start about your "new home" is the Tennessee roads. Whenever I'm riding around with Dad or Michael, which I try not to do, I've got a death grip on the door handle and I'm staring at my lap. That's twice now in what, two years? You guys better stick to the golf cart from now on.
Thank goodness you're OK!
Erik
We are so glad to hear that you are okay. Yes, I agree. By the looks of your truck, you do have an angel on your shoulder.
That said, I've ridden with you. Mom, when you drive again, which I'm sure you will..... I expect you to take the curves and hills much slower. :)
Love and Kisses, Susan
Glad to hear you're okay! Those roads are narrow and dangerous when they are dry, let alone wet and covered with leaves. Between that and snow/ice you might be better off taking Erik's advice until the Spring. =)
I always thought driving too fast and crashing into things was Dons territory. At the very least I am glad that you guys share the household responsibilities, such as crazy driving!!
I am also very glad you are ok. How is the bus system in Rutledge? hehehe
Love Dave
Hi MiMi! I finally visited your blog. I got to see the pictures too. Can you believe that I was able to do it? It didn't take long to pull up the pictures either. I'm sure I still need computer classes though :) I will see you in a few weeks.
