October Visit to Florida

I had the pleasure of visiting my family in Florida in October of this year. We were treated to a visit to a trail in the middle of downtown Tampa that was absolutely awesome. It is hard to imagine that this exists in the center of downtown. It is a boyscout trail that circles a lake and the scenery is outstanding. We walked the trail for quite some time and I have to say that I was amazed and the beauty of this area. Thank you, David, for this insight into the beauty that can be found in the middle of a big city. We had such a great family time and made many memories. This just proves to me that we can find beauty right here at home without spending a penny. This is what America means to me.

Weird Coincidence

The first picture was taken at the retreat I attended at the end of September. Isn't that a lovely antique couch? The second picture is of the couch my mother reupholstered that now resides in my house. Neither my mother nor I can think of any explanation for the eerie similarity. Mom says that at the estate sale where she bought the couch there were two straight chairs as well. The two straight chairs were at the hotel where I attended the retreat. Mom was a member of an antique club (The Sally Wisters) and all we can think of is that a picture of Mom's couch was published in the newsletter and picked up by whoever reupholsted the couch at the hotel. Any other ideas folks?
