Mimi's Birthday Party

On Friday the 13th of March (yes! Friday the 13th whoooo) we celebrated my birthday at our favorite Japanese restaurant, Misaki. Don and I had lobster and filet mignon (mmmmmm) and shared the event with Greg, Alice, Pat and Chuck. We had a fantastic chef named Willy (is that a Japanese name???). He ended up cooking for two tables because one of the grills would not light. Thus we named him "Willy the Wonder Chef". He managed to keep the orders straight and entertained two tables. When the cake came I was forced to dance on my chair. Thankfully no one got a picture of this horrific display. I am sure that my children are especially grateful for that. We had a really memorable time and I am thankful for good friends and good food on this special occasion. On the way home we rocked out to classic oldies, singing along and remembering the good old days. Our other waiter, Mark is a Navy man and Don had a great time talking to him as you can imagine. This was a landmark birthday for me, as I am now eligible for Medicare, Yay! Birthdays get better every year. Happy days wished for all of our dear friends.
